An alert was issued by police in College Park as they attempt to track down a man (pictured above) who has been identified as a suspect for allegedly exposing himself on Friday, Sept. 2, on a Shuttle-UM bus.

A female student reported to police that she and two friends got on the Shuttle-UM 104 bus at the Wind Tunnel Building on the day of the incident.

As the bus was traveling towards the College Park Metro, an unknown attempted to speak with them, prompting them to get up and move to a different part of the bus, police said.

The man then allegedly followed one of the three and exposed himself. The group exited the bus at the College Park Metro, where the suspect was last seen.

Investigators say the suspect is described as a middle-aged Black man, with little to no hair. The suspect was wearing a red Maryland shirt, a purple Raven’s Hat, purple Raven’s sandals, and black sunglasses at the time he exposed himself.

Similar instances were reported earlier this month and in late September on or near the University of Maryland campus.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, or who may have witnessed it has been asked to contact University Police detectives by calling (301) 405-3555 or emailing investigations@umpd.umd.edu.
